Eight people board a train in Zurich bound for Chur. They do not know one another, speak different languages and carry different stories. Yet they share a common origin: all come from Graubünden, have turned their backs on the mountains and now live in the city.
This was the starting point for a theatre production created as Roman Weishaupt’s diploma project at the Zurich University of Music and Theatre in 2006.

Press reviews
“Authentic, entertaining and highly professional. The production by Roman Weishaupt and his team captivated audiences in Ilanz that weekend – and made clear that Graubünden’s multilingualism is a treasure.” - Andreas Cadonau, La Quotidiana, May 2006, on DURCHZUG – addio, inchreschantüm und Alpenduft
“What the young director Weishaupt and his team brought to the stage with Durchzug – addio, inchreschantüm und Alpenduft takes the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions – holding a mirror up to them while still putting a broad smile on their faces.” - Valerio Gerstlauer, Südostschweiz, 2006, on DURCHZUG – addio, inchreschantüm und Alpenduft
